Transport Methods & Modes

Modes are used to report the method of transportation of the fuel load, or blending activity on the Fuel Distributor, Carrier, and Terminal Operator Returns.

The most common transport methods are: 

  • Pipeline (PL)
  • Rail (R)
  • Truck (J)

Additional modes: 

  • Barge (B)
  • Book adjustment (BA) - Used to show blending activity of fuel or ownership change within the location.
  • Pump (GS)
  • Ship (S)
  • Stationary transfer (ST)
  • Removed from Terminal (RT)
