DENVER - February 19, 2026 - The Colorado Department of Revenue (DOR) today released its latest figures on marijuana sales and tax revenue, showing the industry's continued economic impact generating $236,449,405 in 2025.
With 2025’s tax and fee revenue, the state has now collected over $3.1 billion in cumulative tax revenue collected since January 2014.
In its monthly marijuana sales and tax revenue report, DOR figures show that tax revenue for December 2025 was $18,486,924, while November marijuana sales figures were $103,277,359. The calendar year revenue total for 2025 was $236,449,405. $18,109,803,057 in sales has been generated since January 2014. Complete figures are available in the table below:

The Marijuana Sales Reports summarize total sales made by medical and retail marijuana stores monthly by county. The Marijuana Tax Reports show state tax and fee revenue collected monthly as posted in the Colorado state accounting system. Tax revenue comes from the state sales tax (2.9%) on marijuana sold in stores, the state retail marijuana sales tax (15%), and the state retail marijuana excise tax (15%) on wholesale sales/transfers of retail marijuana. Marijuana license and application fees generate the fee revenue.
