Please remember that you must claim the state sales tax refund (TABOR refund) when filing your state income tax return. If you claimed a 2023 refund, the TABOR refund will be combined and issued out with your refund. Unlike the 2022 Colorado cashback, no separate check will be issued.

DENVER, November 10, 2020 -- The Colorado Department of Revenue (CDOR) and Colorado Interactive have launched the Department’s latest informational website, Tax.Colorado.gov

The tax website is a valuable tool in helping Colorado taxpayers find information on how to file state taxes. Now, more than ever, the tax website is the face of the Taxation Division for the millions of Colorado taxpayers who use it each year. Its latest version utilizes taxpayer feedback collected for the past two years to improve and enhance the user experience. The new website will:

  • Help Colorado taxpayers to find tax filing information quickly and easily
  • Give tax professionals timely updates on new rules and procedural changes
  • Provide Coloradans with information about the Taxation Division

“We have taken an innovative approach to the new tax website. We utilized feedback from Coloradans to create a website that is more helpful and easier to use. Just as they would in person, we want everyone to be welcomed warmly and get the information they need quickly,” said Brendon Reese, Senior Director of the Taxation Division.

The Taxation Division has a number of informational websites; however, Tax.Colorado.gov is its flagship website. The tax website contains the most information regarding Colorado's unique tax landscape and how to file a tax return.
